Every yap, five beats

Yap Formatter

Fill in five beats, typed or said out loud. Get back the script, a score and whether it is worth filming. Leave any beat you have nothing for.

  1. Would they say "that's me"?

  2. Is there a number in it?

  3. Could a stranger tell who is talking?

  4. Could they do it today?

  5. Is anything after the payoff? Cut it.

It writes the script from them, in your own words, with each beat scored out of 10 and a verdict on whether to film it. Tom's example: Shape one, the selfie clip.
