The starting point
New Waves, Who Dis? was the UK YouTube production company Tom co-founded with Sam Hilton, running from June 2021 to November 2023. Niko is a British YouTuber known for prank, stunt and political satire videos, and a co-founder of Beta Squad. He had a history of getting into big boxing nights uninvited. He tried to sneak into KSI vs Logan Paul II in November 2019. He also got into Jake Paul’s pro debut against AnEsonGib, and was then banned from Matchroom Boxing events. In 2022 KSI came back to the ring for the first time in years. The event was MF & DAZN: X Series 001, at The O2 Arena in London, on 27 August 2022. KSI fought twice that night, against Swarmz and Luis Alcaraz Pineda. Prime is KSI and Logan Paul’s drink brand.
What Tom did
The video is filed in Tom’s record under Produced, Format and strategy, and Talent supplied. Those are the defaults for New Waves, Who Dis? work, and his exact role on this shoot is not recorded. In Tom’s own account, it took three to five months to make. The team worked with three different costume designers. They recruited Kysha as the disguise and the inside man, and planned the logistics of getting in. They also planned how to get KSI’s attention ahead of the drop. Tom says ideas at New Waves, Who Dis? came from an ideation session he ran, then arrived two or three days later.
How it was made
The format. A single long form stunt documentary, 25 minutes 35 seconds on YouTube. Niko frames the plan as a Trojan horse: a gift KSI would accept, with Niko hidden inside.
The decoy. On 16 August 2022 Kysha posted I Built KSI A Giant Prime Mascot, asking KSI to notice it. KSI’s manager, Mams Taylor, got in touch with Kysha, and KSI said they would make the walk out happen. Kysha arranged the wristband that gave the costume VIP access to the venue.
The night. Niko went backstage in the costume and greeted KSI before the fight. KSI did not recognise him. He followed KSI to the ring and showed his face at one point while cheering behind him. KSI knocked out Swarmz in round two, 28 seconds in. Niko revealed himself after that fight. KSI laughed and hugged him.
The structure. The chapters run: the master plan, building the costume, the deception, social media hype, infiltrating the venue, the ring walk prep, reaching the ring, the face reveal, the grand entrance, the post-fight celebration. The fight footage is credited to DAZN.
The release. Niko’s video and Kysha’s reveal, How I FAKED KSI’s Boxing Ring Walk, both went out on 5 September 2022. The video is not marked as a paid promotion, and its description carries no Prime ad.
What viewers replay. YouTube’s most replayed marker sits from 23:01 to 23:32, inside the post-fight celebration.

What it proves
Big videos win on story, and on planning that survives chaos. The whole video hangs on one moment, the walk out, and the team does the casting, the build and the logistics itself. Secret shoots stay small, because the creator space is small and everyone talks. Here the secret held through a public decoy video that KSI’s own team responded to. See Making a viral YouTube video.
