Recording day

One booked studio, one person asking and a bank of questions written in advance, turned into clips and tickets.

Why does it matter?

It is the cheapest way Tom knows to post every day. The writing is the work, so the studio day itself runs fast.

How does it work?

  1. Put every question not reached last time at the top of the new bank.
  2. Write a spine for each question, every number checked.
  3. Book the studio and a person to ask, and run both mics for the whole session.
  4. Write one ticket per answer for the editors.

Where has Tom used it?

The first fake pod gave 34 usable clips in an hour, and the Creator Hotline got through 60 callers in one sitting.

  • Creator Hotline: A format where a creator sends a voice note with a question and Tom answers it properly, lit and on proper cameras, as a real service.
