Freelance short-form video editor

This is a talent pool role. Tom is always meeting good people, and work goes to the pool as clients need it.

What you'll do

• Edit short-form videos every week for creator and founder clients.
• Cut for retention: a strong first three seconds, no dead air, a clear payoff.
• Turn long recordings and podcasts into clips that stand on their own.
• Work to a brief and a format, and hit the deadline every time.

You'll be great if

• You edit in Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar, and you are quick.
• You know why one reel holds and another loses people at second two.
• You can show a portfolio with view counts.
• You take notes well and fix things the first time.

How it works

• A short review of your portfolio.
• Then a paid trial edit.
• Then ongoing work as clients need it.

About Tom Sharman and The Content Operators

Tom Sharman is a UK content operator and founder of The Content Operators, based in Brighton. He builds the strategy, teams and systems that turn creators and entrepreneurs into media businesses. Clients include Ben Heath, Sam Stoffel, Secret Leaders, Niko Omilana and TheBurntChip. He takes on a small number of clients, and the team works remotely: the editors already work across Pakistan and the Philippines.
