Career History
Over a decade helping content creators and brands reach hundreds of millions of eyeballs, generating $1.6M in AdSense, $2M+ in brand deals, and $1.3M in subscription revenue along the way. I've followed my interests selfishly through YouTube, culture, sport, gaming, fashion and comedy. I've had a career full of fun and more failures than I can count. Here are some of the highlights.
I lead strategy, operations and the content team behind Sam Stoffel's personal brand. Sam is an entrepreneur on a mission to change lives through entrepreneurship, and in eight months we took his channel from zero to 290,791 followers. I built the team, the systems and the strategy entirely from scratch.
Alongside that I'm consulting for Liquidity Media, the group behind Outplayed.com and Odds Monkey, helping them figure out where content fits in their growth story.
SubSpot is an AI-powered subscription platform built for creators, helping them launch, manage and grow their subscription businesses without the admin headaches. I'm in full build mode, shaping the content and narrative as the platform scales.
I relaunched Secret Leaders as a video-first podcast hosted by Dan Murray and Chris Donnelly, arguably the most credentialed co-hosting duo in UK business media. I ran the whole operation: daily social content, twice-weekly premium interviews with Deborah Meaden, James Watt, Simon Squibb and more, plus all the business and commercial side.
We grew to #2 in the UK Business Podcast charts, sitting right behind Steven Bartlett's Diary of a CEO. Sponsorship deals with Wise, Vanta, Hewlett Packard and Dubai Tourism. I also built the professional studio from scratch in 6K quality.
Joined content syndication business Swift Media to launch their talent management division from zero, a fresh revenue stream built entirely from scratch. The focus was Food, Travel and Lifestyle. I managed clients including Bald and Bankrupt, Backpacker Ben, London Bruncher and Those Boxing Brothers.
Co-founded what became one of the most exciting YouTube production companies in the UK. We built operations and productions for some of the genre's biggest names including Niko Omilana, The Burnt Chip, Calfreezy, ChrisMD, Astrid Wett and more. On the corporate side we worked with BBC, Google, YouTube, JD Sports, EE and Universal Music Group.
I led production for The Burnt Chip's channel across 28 long-form videos. Eight of his top 12 all-time performers were produced with Waves, including all three of his most-viewed videos. 49M views in total.
Built Angels into the UK's number one agency for female content creators. We generated $750,000 in revenue within the first twelve months with operating margins above 50%. The roster grew to 23 exclusively managed creators with a combined following of over 20 million. On average, clients saw 5x their monthly revenue and 8x growth on social after signing.
Ran content strategy across two of the most exciting gaming IP brands in the UK. For Gareth Bale's Ellevens Esports, I signed the first ever in-game shirt sponsorship deal in FIFA history, bringing Duracell in as the team's official kit sponsor. A genuine industry first.
For Combat Gaming, I worked with 150+ AAA celebrities, athletes and creators on charity livestreams with EA Sports, Activision Blizzard and Epic Games. $200K raised. A Fortnite tournament with Epic hit 10M+ live views. I also signed England and Chelsea footballer Mason Mount as a Combat ambassador.
Managed a £450K campaign for the Forza Horizon 5 launch across XBOX and LG. A month-long activation with Vikkstar, James Buckley, Aarav and Benny Central, spanning live streams, in-person events and content for both brand and creator channels.
Led marketing for immersive studios working with Vodafone, McDonald's, EDF Energy, Greenpeace, The UN and YouTube. One of the highlights was overseeing the launch of a UN-endorsed 360 degree climate film that premiered at the UN Climate Summit in front of 200 world leaders and went on to reach 3 million views in partnership with Extinction Rebellion.
Led the launch and growth of Katie Price's YouTube channel. Produced weekly videos with a team of videographers and editors. In the first month alone we hit 1 million views, 60,000 subscribers and tens of millions of media impressions across tabloid press and beyond.
Joined as employee number five and left when the company had grown to around 85 people. I took the platform from under 10,000 to 600,000 monthly active users, built on partnerships with UCAS and Barclays and a genuine editorial product students actually wanted to read.
I launched Tyro Magazine with three editorial staff and 350 student writers, reaching 40% of UK students monthly. Our content sparked national conversations recognised by the UN Refugee Agency.
Became a founding partner alongside Jamal Edwards MBE, just years after his Google Chrome ads with Ed Sheeran that I'd used as the centrepiece of my Business A-Level essay. The agency focused on cultural content through creative direction, film, experiential and influencer work. Clients included Eve Sleep, Amazon, eBay, Intel and the RSC.
Selected for Ogilvy's Rough Diamond initiative by Rory Sutherland and Nicole Yershon, a programme designed to bring non-traditional routes into advertising. As part of the five-person Ogilvy Labs team we bridged innovation and agency life. One project built around Pokemon Go's mapping systems was ideated, built, delivered and sold to BT within 24 hours.
My first proper role in the industry. Aged 18 and fresh out of my first year at university, I led marketing and communications for a record-breaking Social Media Week London. I worked with senior execs from Google, Facebook, Twitter, Buzzfeed, Instagram, Microsoft, VICE and Reuters and managed around 40 staff across production and event operations. I built a network that would take most people a decade.
In the very early days of YouTube, before "creator economy" was even a phrase, aged 13 and with my identity hidden, I landed a part-time role at Machinima, the gaming talent network. I scouted and signed YouTube gaming talent and earned a cut of their earnings. The beginning of everything, and I've been obsessed with this space ever since.
Available for consultancy on building content teams, strategy, systems and production, for creators and entrepreneurs who want to scale.
