# The sweet science loop

## The steps

1. **Experiment.** Vary timing, slang, taglines, hashtags and formats such as animated GIFs.
2. **Read the data.** Check hearts, shares, comments, repins and reblogs to see what response each variation got.
3. **Respond to the result.** Change what you do based on what the numbers say.
4. **Set a formula per platform.** Use it as a framework only, and retest, because each platform and audience needs its own.
